| 2005-09-08-02 MPE Certification |
It is public knowledge that HP is no longer administering MPE Certification exams. This is a cause for concern in the MPE community. HP administered two certifications for the MPE systems. One was a System Sales certification and the other was a System Administration certification. Because HP is no longer offering classes or administering tests or even publishing the list of certificate holders, it seems that this is yet another duty that OpenMPE must perform. When B. Foster speaks with M. Paivenin next Monday, he will introduce the suggestion that HP should transfer the current certification list and ownership of the process to OpenMPE. P. Edwards suggested that the MPE Certification process should be part of the training his group has taken over from HP. |
