Meeting w/ HP B. Foster reported he has sent emails to Mike Paivinen regarding future activities between HP and OpenMPE.

Election The 2007 Board of Director's Election will begin Monday, February 12th at 8:00am (EST) and end on Friday, March 2nd at 5:00pm (EST). The election will be ratified on Monday, March 5th -- the date of OpenMPE's annual general meeting. The results will be announced on Tuesday, March 6th.

Tax Question The accountant has raised questions concerning OpenMPE's income last year. If business was conducted in California, OpenMPE would need to pay a California franchise tax. It was determined no business was done in California and so no additional tax is owed.

MPE Certification P. Edwards reported that he has received his certificates. He followed up on hp3000-l and openmpe-l asking for people who had been certified but had not received any information from HP. A few people responded. P. Edwards forwarded those names to HP. He also got inquires from people wishing to take the test. He forwarded those emails to HP as well.

Next Meeting
Plan on a 8 February meeting with the possibility of meeting on 9 February, if Mike Paivinen responds to B. Foster.
