The First Five Tips
1. Get outside. Even a few minutes of fresh air everyday can drastically improve your mood. Try taking a walk around your neighborhood or sitting on your porch as the sun goes down.
2. Exercise. You don’t have to spend two hours at the gym everyday to feel the benefits of exercise. Start with a 15-minute walk sometime during the day, and work your way up to several 30-minute workouts a week. You’ll feel better and you’ll look better, too!
3. Eat right. Eating healthier can be hard. But it’s simple to do small things like adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet. Eat more lean meats like fish and chicken. Snack on healthy foods like yogurt, nuts, granola bars (instead of chips and cookies). Stay away from as many processed foods as you can.
4. Take a supplement or multi-vitamin. One of the easiest ways to get healthier is to take a supplement. In addition to the standard multi-vitamins, consider incorporating an organic superfood supplement in your diet. Superfoods have tons of health benefits.
5. Spend time with loved ones. A big part of a healthy lifestyle is feeling loved. It’s good to take time off to have fun. Enjoy the company of your favorite friends and family. You’ll feel better.
The Last Five Tips
6. Laugh. You know the saying, “Laughter is the best medicine.” That saying has real merit; laughing is a great way to relieve stress. Find something funny and let yourself laugh.
7. Find a new hobby. Sometimes, just trying something new and getting out of a rut can make a big difference in the way you feel. Take up a new hobby. Think about photography, cooking, swimming, even video games, whatever sounds interesting to you.
8. Clean your home. Not only does a clean home mean a healthier home due to less dust and allergens floating around, it can also improve your mood. Removing dirt and clutter from your life is always a good thing.
9. Visit your doctor and dentist. Take care of your regular checkups. Don’t skip out on your yearly physical just because you feel fine. You’ll feel even better when the doctor tells you you’re healthy. And take care of your teeth!
10. Change your outlook. You will be amazed at how much better you feel when you just change your attitude. Try to think about things in a more positive way; focus on the good things in your life. Stress is bad for you; do what you can to eliminate it from your life.
